The Adaptive Management Initiative builds resilience in the Crown’s landscapes and communities by promoting climate adaptation strategies that improve ecological integrity and community vitality through local action. The AMI has evolved successfully into a collaborative program of on-the-ground project work. In 2012, thirteen projects were chosen by the Roundtable Leadership Team to encourage mutual learning and to help ensure that successful efforts in one community, watershed, or landscape can inform others in the region. The projects addressed the general themes of water, forestry, indigenous perspectives, working lands, and sustainable economies. In December 2013, the Leadership Team selected a second round of projects. You can view the the map of the 2014 project locationshere, and read about project descritions at the button below. You can also gain valuable details from the AMI Funding Guidelines. The slate of projects selected for the 2015 cycle were determined by a team of independent evaluators and are summarized at the button below.
